Community health centers do more with less
Community health centers (CHCs) are the foundation of America’s healthcare system. However, they must do more with limited financial resources because of the populations they serve.
We designed the CHC Financial Analytics Dashboard to shed light on the financial health of the CHC sector. It is a first-of-its-kind financial visualization tool designed to expedite understanding of CHC sector-wide financial performance. Financial performance comparisons to local, state, and national-level peers across 10+ critical financial metrics and easy-to-understand visualizations are now possible.
Two iterations of the dashboard are available. A 2022 iteration and a more current 2023 iteration. Both iterations are free to leaders of community health centers!
The 2022 iteration reflects audited financial statements for fiscal years 2016 through 2021. The 2023 Dashboard builds on the 2022 iteration and includes audited financial statement data for fiscal year 2022 and a bonus financial stability and sustainability metric called the SaNDAI Financial Stability Score to clarify each CHC’s financial health and stability.
Government stakeholders (i.e., HHS/HRSA) and primary care associations (PCAs) can use the score to identify CHCs needing additional financial support. Health center leaders and boards can use the score to predict short-term and long-range economic sustainability.
